Lecturers and Caretaker Jobs in Kenya

Great Lakes University of Kisumu is a private chartered university offering degree programs   in various disciplines including Health Sciences, Community Health Programs, Humanity and Agribusiness among others.

The University is looking for highly motivated, qualified, experienced and reputable team player to fill the position of Lecturers in the following areas:

Lecturers

Community Nutrition (2 Posts Nairobi, 1 Post Kisumu)

Qualifications
The successful candidate should have /be:

• MSc in Food Nutrition and Dietetics
• Enrolled PhD Candidate in Nutrition
• Publications in the relevant field
• Demonstrate both mixture of field practice and class Lectures
• Relevant work experience and exemplary performance

Research and Measurements (1 Post Kisumu)

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have /be:

• MSc in Statistics
• Enrolled PhD Candidate
• Publications in relevant field
• Demonstrates both mixture of field practice and Class Lectures
• Relevant work experience and exemplary performance

Caretaker

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, hospitable environment for the students
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
• Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
• Clean up all common areas and ensure students are taking responsibility for their own living areas
• Observe and report damage of University property
• Keep all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Ensure stock of cleaning materials are in regular supply
• Report students illness if any promptly to the University Medical Officer
• Report unbecoming student behavior against the rules and regulation to the Dean of Students.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have /be:

• KCSE Certificate.
• Certificate of good conduct issued by the Kenya Police
• Certificate in Housekeeping will be an added advantage.
